Our Emergency Assistance Program is designed to give families "A Hand Up - Not A Hand Out," Thus, we are good stewards with the donations we receive to assist families who have an immediate crisis but may be ineligible for other assistance offered through the Division of State Service Centers and other social service agencies. To receive assistance, families must be referred for Adopt-A-Family assistance once they have exhausted other means of assistance provided through other emergency assistance programs.
