LifeSkills, Inc is a State of KY PATH Provider. PATH stands for Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness. PATH program funds service people with serious mental illness experiencing homelessness.

PATH providers are local public or nonprofit organizations that have receive US Government PATH funding to provide services to people who are not currently connected to mainstream services.

Some Services PATH Programs provide, but are not completely inclusive for all of the programs (Some PATH providers offer all of these services, while others focus on providing one or two of them.):
Outreach Services
Screening and Diagnostic Treatment
Habilitation and Rehabilitation
Community Mental Health
Substance Abuse Treatment
Referrals for primary health care, job training, housing, educational assistance
Housing services as specified in Section 522(b)(10)
Mission Statement: Our mission is to support people with developmental disabilities and their families in planning, coordinating and developing resources that meet their unique needs and preferences. We hold that listening and collaborating with individuals and families is paramount, and by exchanging knowledge, information and skill, we will develop partnerships of mutual trust and respect.

Is there a waiting period for assistance or can they help right away?

Yes me and my daughter Attended counseling. Very helpful Stephanie Edwards but I would like to see if I qualify for any help until I can get on my feet

    I was able to get a classified as homeless through them and it was such a big relief because I had been waiting for a caseworker for months to be classified as homeless and I realized all I was receiving was therapy when they don't have case workers but after I figured that out after months of trying to see what was going on it was a lot better I was a lot less stressed and yes they do help
